If you could upgrade this camera to any other camera for 500-1000 dollars for nature/landscape/waterfall pictures what would you choose.

It's 7 years old now and I feel an upgrade must be warranted.

A6300 for me. But thats assuming a separate budget for lenses... which I'd spend more on.

I moved over to sony personally. I went for the a7r, which is above your budget. However, id say look into either the a6000, a6300, or a7
