I need help working on composing a still life that I will ultimately use for a painting.
I'm posting on here instead of /ic/ because y'all probably have a better idea for composition.
Pic related is my work in progress. My instincts tell me that I have too many items, so I plan on cutting that down.
I do like the overall orange image with hints of green scattered throughout.
Thoughts?

There are no diagonals, curves or intersections to give a sense of perspective, and I'd move the whole lot if n front of a window and shoot when the shadows look best. Also think about textures and don't place the objects so strictly separated. Looks too deliberate.
I have it another shot. Still working on it.

Much better

This is very nice
I would move the boots so as not to shadow the little painting on the clock
Either way, the textures in the whole thing are very nice

one of the trophies probably wouldnt be out of place here, mayne next to the clock with the medal
the miracle mets thing too, if you set it on the wall, a little more subtly so you can have that hint of green you mentioned
