No, you also need an LC-A or equivalent, a Mamiya 7 or similar, an SLR 67 and a Nikon F3 or FM2. Only then will you be set. For life.

Post both for sale, decided to keep whichever didn't sell first. Obviously blue went fast (8 hours). So yeah, I'm going to be rocking pink.

>>3094144
What's a reasonable price? I sold the blue one for $550.
>>
>>3094146
Nice one, man. Bought my blue one for $400, so we're all happy. Colour doesn't matter - have fun with your rose machine.
>>
>>3094147
$400 is a nice grab dude! I'm actually happy to have kept pink. I think it's a bit of a theft deterrent. The camera honestly looks like a shitty, early 2000s point and shoot digi. Very unsuspecting haha.
>>
>>3094139

Probably gonna pick up a Natura Classica sometime soon.

A bit expensive though.
>>
>>3094149
$400 was Japan eBay - you take your chances. I live in a bad neighbourhood, where anything will get stolen. My buddy lost his sneakers. But there's nothing wrong with pink when you're rocking a Fuji Natura. You da man.
>>
>>3094150
Seriously, the Classica is a waste of time. Go 24/1.9 or go home, bro. Natura got the optics to make your brain bleed.
>>
>>3093759
One of these just sold on eBay for 240 USD.
>>
>>3094170
THAT is overpriced. Ouch.
>>
>>3094139
How well do these autofocus? Maybe compared to a Mju ii as the control, as I'm familiar with it.
>>
>>3094174
AF is good, but it's a bit annoying in that it starts work when you hit the shutter. No half press.
>>
>>3094171
Guess someone really wanted it. I just did a quick search on eBay for worldwide listings in all categories and they don't seem to be any cheaper than that. One listing which ends in 2 days is at 119 USD already.

All jokes aside, this camera seems to be on the higher end of quality 35 mm film cameras while on the lower end of the price spectrum. Everything else is retard levels of expensive; I'm basing this off of articles about the top 35 mm point and shoot film cameras pulled from Google.

This camera along with a rollei and yashica t3/4/5 are in the same regard. A few others too but these seem to be in the same money playing field.
>>
>>3094177
>This camera along with a rollei and yashica t3/4/5 are in the same regard

Good comparison. Rollei 35 is nothing special. Yashica POS (oops, P&S) cameras give you nothing unique. These are memes. Meanwhile, the Fuji Natura is a very special camera, with capabilities that can only be mimicked even now at great expense of money, size, and weight.

This guy is trying to sell his mju ii for $450 AUD (about $340 USD).
>>
>>3094185
I should have bought when they were at like $15 - but I knew even that was overpriced.
>>
>>3094183
Besides a, what I would consider not special, high ISO capability what makes the fuji special?
>>
>>3094190
Wide, fast lens in a very small package
>>
>>3094187
I was lucky enough that my mum got one in 1996 when I was still young and she eventually gave it to me, but unfortunately it just broke one day a couple of years ago. I ended up buying another online for like $50.
>>
>>3094191
Yeah don't think that's worth an extra 300 on a point and shoot.

But that brings things full circle. Both the mju ii and natura are equipped with fast lenses and basic point and shoot cameras. One goes for around 200 and the other around 470. Is a slightly faster lens worth the extra 270? Up to you but I would say no. Is the higher iso worth it for the price? Up to you but I would say no.

The mju ii isn't a bad camera, you're just sour grapes because it equivalent to yours except almost 300 dollars cheaper.
>>
>>3094153

Wait the Classica is bad compared to the nornal Natura?
>>
>>3094187

After is faster than the mju in my rough estimation. It's fast enough for street and timing people's strides correctly (pic related).
>>3094197
Its over a stop faster and 11mm wider. You're somewhat comparing apples to oranges. Cross shopping a fixed 35mm 2.8 with a fixed 24mm 1.9 is a bit silly.

>>3094723
Like finding a needle in a haystack. It may take months to find something worthwhile. Definitely worth going to if they are around where you live. Just don't expect to find something right away.

>>3094597
XA2 is dope! If you shoot portraits or things closer than 3m the focusing is really hard to get right. If you bought it for mainly shooting landscapes or scenes where the focus is further than 3m it will treat you well! Pic related: Velvia 50 in my old XA2
>>
>>3094800
Well there probably is a reason nobody wants them, isnt it?

>>3094810

Aren't most the the lenses on these things nothing more than "OK"?
>>
>>3094843
Yeah because they're bad cameras. People want the good stuff and thus they have a higher asking price.

I was going to buy a cheaper Canon Af35 or Canon Owl but decided against it for several reasons. Firstly, I wanted a good 35 mm camera for a while now, something simple to use with a good lens and I wanted it to be point and shoot as I already have a Canonet 28; not totally a rangefinder but too many manual controls for what I wanted out of film. I wanted something streamlined. The af35, based off of YouTube reviews, is loud as fuck but has a decent lens though it is nothing special. Personally I wanted something more discreet in addition to better quality optics. I considered the Owl because it was cheap and you could by new but it was lacking in the not being electronic field and has a shitty slow lens. I wanted something good.

I ended up paying hipster levels of money for one of these cameras in the OP. Why? It's a highly rated camera with a good lens and everything is streamlined. The most annoying thing is the having to turn off the flash button every time but I do a lot of video work anyway so I'm used to having to press record on and off or adjusting ISO on the fly so it's not even bothersome for me. Besides that, you just press the button and the camera takes a picture. Load film and it winds it back when done. Everything is done for you and it has a fast higher tier quality lens than anything cheaper on the market. Was it worth paying more than $150 for? That's up to you and what you are willing to pay for, what features or in my case lack of features, just streamlined quality snap shooting. It was worth it for me. Also it's small and easily fits in a pocket and reminds me of when I was younger using the family snap shooter and just pressing the button to take pictures. I don't like always getting caught up in all the technicalities of photography, it turns me off occasionally and makes me not go out to take pictures.
>>
>>3094602
>>3094810
Awesome. Yeah I mainly got it to have something compact and quick to use and so far I'm happy. The zone focusing still takes some getting used too but it's a fun little camera.
>>
>>3094843
>Aren't most the the lenses on these things nothing more than "OK"?
Well yeah, but what's your end goal? Are you even going to print the photos? If so, would you ever go beyond 8x10? Are you going to be shooting high quality film where a better lens would matter more, or will you be shooting Vista and Superia? It's funny seeing people shooting with expensive ass p&s on 10 year expired Kodak Gold. What they paid all that money for if that's the medium they choose the record light on, I don't know.

>>3094861
As a former owner of one, I totally agree with everything you said. The only reason I would hesitate to pay $150 for one is because they are simply becoming unreliable due to age. Capacitors go bad, the gears are made of plastic, and the little motors get weaker with time. If it was possible to guarantee a particular example had a lot of life left, $150 is totally reasonable for a camera like that.

>>3094884
I'd pretty much always slide the focus to 'far' as soon as I opened the camera and leave it there. Super fast shooter if that's how you go about it.
>>
>>3094368
i'm the opposite , only ever shot 1600 with mine , i think it reverts to flash on all the time ( ie have to turn it off constantly ) outside of NP mode
I always thought the camera was a bit fragile so i saved it for 1600 only use but it turns out to be one of the most reliable p&s cameras i have owned
