I think it's a good example of shooting what you find interesting; what is popular or trendy be damned.

proto-isi from the looks of it, right down to the acerbic personality

Was she talented?
Is she a literal meme?
Assuming the contact sheets shown are legit and not heavily doctored, she never second guessed a shot, they were all one shots, thats a very respectable trait on a photog (Eggleston was like this too).
