What camera messenger bag do you peeps recommend? I don't need something gigantic or super fancy, just something I can carry 2-3 lenses in and have them easily accessible. I'm using my backpack right now and it's a hassle to get into it and change lenses on the fly if I only need to carry a small amount of gear when I'm out shooting.
what ever size domke you need

Domke J-803, F-803, F-802 should be good for this, and they'll last. Lots of pockets for random accessories.

I'll most likely do this, I'm just more curious about what style of bag people prefer, or if I'll just grab a knockoff Lowepro or Manfrotto or something
OP here, this looks pretty interesting, cheap as shit but I can buy 10 of these for the price of a "proper" camera bag and as long as it lasts for a year or more then it'd be worth it

Thanks for your valuable input, I'll carry my camera gear in the fur of a bear I slayed with my own hands instead
Is a backpack your only bag right now? If you had another messenger bag of some kind I'd suggest just buying camera bag inserts.
Actually you could probably find some inserts for your backpack as well.
A good search term is: slr camera insert

Tenba DNA series
I have a DNA 8, the smallest one, and I can fit my MILC (Panasonic G85) with a couple lenses and a few accessories
it does feel a bit snug in there though, so I would rec at least the next size up from the DNA 8 (or two or three sizes for a DSLR)

If it's big enough for your setup, the small NG2345 made in China (Aliexpress, eBay, wherever it's at least less than $30) could work. YMMV on the looks of it, but it's quite sensible.
In case you also want a better backpack, you might have a look at the Lowepro (imitations? originals sold in China?).
Among the less obvious options, I also thought some of the Caden backpacks looked fairly sensible as well.

I have camera bag inserts for my backpack but I rarely use it because I just switched from DSLR to mirrorless so I don't have a lot of gear right now and it's pretty unnecessarily big when I only need to carry a mirrorless with a standard zoom attached, a smallish telephoto and maybe a prime.
I pretty much only use it when shipping my gear from point A to point B, it's a hassle to get into and change lenses when you're actually out shooting which is why I want to get a smallish messenger bag.
I have a messenger bag as well but I'd rather get one that's dedicated for photography because the one I have looks sort of like this, it's very tall and narrow because it's made for carrying a laptop and textbooks, so it's pretty hard to fit a wide camera or wide lenses in it.
