What is wrong with my lens?
It appears to be a white speck inside of the lens. Supposedly it is weather sealed. Should I send it to service?

Thanks in advance, /p/.

You know the 18-55 isn't actually weather sealed, right?
that's not the weather sealed version
its probably not going to be an issue

Smelly dumb digital scum. Shoot film like a big boy
>>3084377
Not an issue, keep on shooting.
>>3084393
I do.
>>3084377
it's just a speck, you won't see it in your pictures. Donworryaboudit.
Also, you're frankly a dipshit for thinking the lens is weather sealed. It doesn't say that anywhere on the lens or the packaging, and a 3 second google could've cleared that up.

>he fell for the fuji meme
Oh anon, if you think a speck of dust is an issue, you just wait until you try and use lightroom or take photos in low light.

What's wrong with fuji+LR?
>>3084720
Fuji raws aren't compatible with adobe as they don't have the de-mosaicing algorithm for the -trans sensor.
The end effect of this is a massive loss of sharpness and weird squiggly noise patterns, and you may get a shit ton of false colour.

Looks like someone is only using a pirated version. Adobe CC solved the Fuji raw issues in an update a year ago.

I didn't encounter these issues up to ISO6400 when shooting raw. The noise looks similar to film grain to me.
Printed that photo on baryt paper and there's no noise visible at 30x20cm.
Was shot as jpeg (raw possible up to 6400) with noise reduction turned off if I remember correctly. Highlights blown, but that was my fault due to metering.

>thinking I compress and don't tweak shit when I want to print
I bet you pixelpeep your snapshots, rather than print them on quality paper. Baryt paper has structure that compensates a lot of noise/grain.

>buy second hand Helios lens
>Ivan somehow got finger prints on the inside of the lens
>take it apart to clean
>put it back together again
>somehow didn't notice that I installed the front element backwards
Ended up scratching two of the elements but it doesn't seem to show up on pictures.
