>fuji discontinuing Superia
WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS YOU GFIUCKING GOOKS YOU HAVE ONE JOB *ONE* AND ITS NOT PRODUCING GARBAGE INSTAX TRASH YOU HAD TO KEEP FILM ALIVE NOT KILLING IT
AAAAAAAAAAAAA
film's been dead for a while my man.
>>3078509
>calling japs gooks
WHAT THE FUCK WHITEY YOU HAD ONE (1) FUCKING JOB
What the damn hell fuck
I guess it's Kodak for color from now on.
>>3078509
well, they want you to buy fuji cams and use their film simulation modes
>>3078509
never liked the Superia look but damn they're really doesnt give a shit about their loyal customers and keep revving up their Instax and poor man leicas and poor man phase one
>>3078509
X-tra anf Premium both?
>>3078525
The natura 1600 is possibly one of the best looking film i'ved shot on.
>>3078518
>buying a gimmicky x-trans sensor
>ever
No thanks.
>>3078531
>posting this cringe in response to a photo of the original x100
>not even x-trans
what does it feel like to be a failure
>>3078530
I just dropped my first roll off to get developed. Pretty sure I fucked the exposure on the first half, but the second should be great.
I hope Natura isn't discontinued too.
>>3078534
The original x100 has its own issues. Specifically the slowest autofocus on any camera I have ever used in my entire life.
The newer model has the terrible x-trans too.
>>3078536
>the original x100 is slow
no shit. you must be in a STEM field with all this IQ.
>The newer model has the terrible x-trans too.
If you even need to post-process the raws from an x100f you probably aren't very good at photography
it's a jpeg camera for professionals and enthusiasts, not for slider-tweakers with pirated lightroom.
>They'll never bring back FP-100C FP-3000B, and they'll keep screeching whenever someone attempts to gain capital to replicate it.
>>3078543
Processing the raws isn't really an issue anymore, with iridiant or whatever its called you can easily do it. It is awkward and adds a step, but it works.
The problem is the fucked jpeg colors.
>>3078554
the same dude that makes that makes a program to convert the raws called xtransformer
>>3078554
>The problem is the fucked jpeg colors.
>fucked
No, honey, the problem is that you have no artistic sensibilities, so you only notice that the colors are not objectively true in what were never intended to be objective. They're film simulations. Film has subjective and imperfect qualities. Film simulations attempt to copy them.
This is the equivalent of complaining that your black and whites are really weird looking because you're shooting in sepia mode.
You're really just a dumbass.
>>3078509
>As stated, Fujicolor C200– a budget C-41 film that is often sold in chemists, supermarkets and discount stores as well as photographic retailers – is still going to be produced.
I have a roll of 200 unused and not sure if I should stock up
>>3078557
>film simulation
Even outside of the film simulation modes they are messed up.
You can't just wave your hand and say MUH-ARTISTIC-SENSIBILITIES.
X-trans is inferior to bayer in every way.
If you wanted film simulation youd be better of just applying a VSCO filter.
>>3078561
There is no "outside of the film simulation modes"
There are only film simulations, nothing else.
>>3078509
Id this UK only of Japan too?
>>3078563
on the X100, yes. But not the other x-trans cameras.
>>3078567
On every single X camera, from the original x100 to the x100f, from the xpro1 to the xpro2, from the xt1 to the xt2, xt10, and xt20, to the cheap xa3
There are only film simulations, there is no "standard" that is not a film simulation.
You obviously do not know anything about Fuji cameras. Your opinions are third hand.
>>3078509
HHHNGGGG
>>3078573
stock it up before its all gone
>>3078575
It already is.
Amazon.co.jp still has some, but it is hard to buy a lot at 820円 a roll.
>>3078576
Maybe for you welfare queen
>>3078554
That article is really flawed and actual no shit pros who shoot Fuji think that the peta pixel writer is retarded. That's why anyone who takes anything seriously they see on peta pixel isn't a good photographer
>>3078578
10 or so is all I can afford now.
Half of it will probably go to waste this hot Japanese summer because I have no fridge.
>welfare queen
...I wish
>>3078573
JUST
>>3078581
>because I have no fridge.
what the fuck
>>3078590
I am a poot grad student.
>>3078554
>>http://www.nevermindhim.com/
this guy is a few steps away from Jason Lanier tier.
Why are anti-Fuji people literally always autists?
>bbbbbbbbbut film is making a come back
Yep sure is....
Did any of you idiots even read the article? They are getting rid of the stupid Superia 200 (redundant to their C200), 800 (shit film), and 1600 (redundant to their Natura).
THEY ARE KEEPING SUPERIA 400 YOU DUMBFUX
>>3078619
>WEW NOW THAT WE GOT RID OF SUPERIA, WE COULD KILL VELVIA TOO, ITS REDUNDANT SINCE WE HAVE PROVIA, WHO USES VELVIA ANYWAYS? SURELY SOME NERDS LOLZZ
>>3078509
>they are doing it to bring back Provia 400X
>just get into film
>fuji discontinuing films left right and center
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
At least ektachrome is coming back r r r right anons...
>>3078735
Kodak dont fuck around with their customers. Not like Fuji
>>3078557
>colors are supposed to be incorrect
>I was merely pretending to be retarded
And the film sims look nothing like film.
And shooting jpegs still isn't a thing, despite how long you plead different. I could eat my own shit, tell everyone how great it is for months on end, a couple of idiots will probably join in. Doesn't make eating shit any less retarded.
>>3078580
>that article is flawed.... I promise, no wait, all of petapixel is flawed.
Your camera is flawed.
>>3078570
The provia setting is designed to be neutral, the x100f manual even refers to it as provia/standard.
>(PROVIA/STANDARD)
>Standard color reproduction. Suited to a wide range of subjects, from portraits to landscapes.
B&h confirms
>In terms of color rendition, Provia is neither saturated nor un-saturated, delivering accurate color interpretation
As does fujilove
>Provia is the standard ‘general use’ film simulation. It is meant to produce the most true to life colors
Silly dumbdumb. Anyone that's used provia knows it's far from neutral/true to life.
>>3078741
>The provia setting is designed to be neutral, the x100f manual even refers to it as provia/standard.
Standard does not mean Neutral.
Neutral means neutral.
Post a photo that demonstrates your mastery of color science that exceeds Fujifilms.
>>3078743
Lol, illiterate.
>>3078743
Fujicucks are the worst of humanity.
They remind me of the overly proud parents of exceptionally shitty kids.
>>3078573
Where is the cheapest place to buy bulk amounts of Natura 1600 that ships to Australia?
>>3078789
It is dead now, so nowhere.
>>3078789
>Australia
it's tough in this country where everything is over taxed and over regulated
>go into camera shop
>guy sees my mf film camera
>"we sell the film for that"
>shows me a 5 pack of pro 400h
>check their website that night
>it costs over $100
I just wish importing developing chemicals was as easy as importing films
>>3078798
If you want to make a bulk order get in touch with me. Shipping is ~$30usd, but I could get you 3 propacks of 400H for ~$140usd shipped.
>>3078509
Not a big deal, it's only superia 200 and that's becuse they have c200. Superia 400 will be the only superia offering from Fuji now.
>>3078874
Superia is superior to c200 and also the cheapest option for color film in my country. So for people like me it is a big deal since I shoot superia almost exclusively.
>>3078900
>Superia is superior to c200
wat.
how, anon? what are, from your personal experiences, the differences between them?
>>3078906
c200 is consumer trash.
as for equivalents:
c200=colorplus
superia=proimage
so, its not 160ns, but its way better than that c200 crap.
protip: if you want to know that a film is decent ask yourself "does it have a 120 version?"
>Just got a few in the mail today mmmmh
>>3078951
not our fault you cant afford or even get color flim in that joke of a country you live in. stay poor, slavfag.
Why hasnt anybody called out OP on his bullshit? Superia 200 has been discontinued for some time already, so this isnt news. Superia 400-24 still in production. Fucking idiot saying all Superia is discontinued with no source?? Better believe him without proof!
>>3078974
epic
Still have a stack of 4x24exp boxes of c200 from when walmart had it on sale. But they aren't going to stop making it so it doesn't matter.

that was uncalled for. dont be a fag.

12$ a roll dude

880円 in Japan, so like $8.

Donut worry, once the hipsters that buy IP film begin to screech about the depleted stock they will do something about it.
>>3078741
>And shooting jpegs still isn't a thing
This may shock you to learn, but the vast majority of sales of professional quality dsrls and mirrorless cameras are sold to the laymen, people who quite often don't do any editing and just use jpegs straight out of the camera.
>>3082534
The vast majority of cars sold are shitty little hatchbacks with asthmatic engines, does that mean ferrari should pander to the needs of the lowest common denominator?
And you're wrong, very few people spend $4500+ on a body alone and stick to sooc jpegs.
FUCKING GOOKS KILLING ALL FILM TO MAKE EVEN MORE EGG SHAPED TOY CAMERAS REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
I'm considering switching to kodak now.
>>3083556
>BUY OUR GIMMICKY OVERPRICED MIRRORLESS
>IT IS THE SAME THING AS FILM
>IT ONLY COSTS AS MUCH AS A FULLFRAME BODY
fuji plz
>>3083556
I will go on a murder spree if they discontinue Acros in 120
>>3083581
If a digital camera is rated for 150,000 shots, how much money would all that film and developing cost?
>>3083556
I mean from a bean counting perspective it makes sense. Acros 100 isn't exactly a consistent top seller on Amazon.
>>3078509
>YOU HAD TO KEEP FILM ALIVE NOT KILLING IT
I'm sure people running businesses are mainly trying to stay in business. Meaning that they sell what people buy. You bought a few rolls of film? It's not keeping the company up.
Best regards
A (photography) entrepeneur
>>3083699
Even if you do reach that number it's a scientific fact you'all take more redundant snapshits with the digi.
>>3078509
Well, shit. Looks like it's time to go to Boots (uk store) and mass buy their stock. I seem to be the only one that buys film in my local Boots
Everyone is sourcing this article: https://www.zorkiphoto.co.uk/2017/05/superia-fujifilm-200-discontinued-film-photography/ but they don't have any sources
bump for proof
>>3083699
i feel the rage too , a world without Acros is not something i want to contemplate , i always thought they would keep Acros , RVP50 , and Superia 400 at least but now i'm not so sure
>>3078576
>820円
that's like five quid, are you broke mate?
>>3078543
>it's a jpeg camera for professionals and enthusiasts, not for slider-tweakers with pirated lightroom
wow i didn't think ken rockwell would actually have the balls to come on here
>still no proof

heres your proof

why does your dick have a zip on it?
