Ricoh already made a statement to keep Pentax alive as a whole and mostly focusing on the mid-range to high end lenses and cameras. That mostly means that Pentax stays and the entry level cameras will continue to have mid-range features.
Ricoh Imaging might be the main company name since the K-5IIs and K-3 but Pentax as a name and brand will stay indefinitely.
