Redpill me on the Ricoh GR ii. How can I keep dust from ruining my image fidelity and how can I remove dust if it gets inside?

That's a GR, not GRII,
Opening one up to remove dust is really easy. Google it.
My solution for the dust problem was getting one of those filters you stick to the lens. It has a minimal impact on IQ (slightly worse flare is all I've noticed), but more than compensates for that because no longer is air (and dust) sucked in when the lens extends.
You could also get Ricoh's own filter adapter and put on a higher quality threaded filter, but it makes the camera no longer pocketable and the adapter is overpriced as fuck.
I've carried my GR in my pocket nearly every day since I bought it. Before I had the filter I had to remove dust twice in like 4 months (!). Haven't had any dust since.
Buy the 21mm adapter and keep it on the front forever so it cant suck in dust then you can pretend you own the GR21

What a pussy. Cameras are there for shooting not for keeping them in pristine condition on the shelf

I held one of those for the first time yesterday. Didn't realize they made digital cameras that felt so cheap. Seriously think my XA has better build quality than these.
Lack of viewfinder = You can't even use it when the sun is too bright.
