try the picture in black and white and see how it works
also, what's the point of the crops on the top and bottom? looks like it's a movie frame, not a photo
also, i wish you didn't cut off the left most branch, looks like you could've taken a step back and had the whole branch in view
it's a nice picture, if a bit claustrophobic

Do you like it, anon? What do you think?
>>3065871
meant to say...
I really liked the color of the flowers, the black and white makes them stand out a little more but gets rid of the color... the bars are hiding some uglies in the original but it does look better cropped.

I feel like you added some filters to the picture though, which makes the branches look weird and pink. Maybe that's how they actually look, idk, but the flowers don't really pop as much as they should because there's a lot of whites on the photo as it is. The way I see it, their color isn't strong enough to carry them, but in black and white, a large clump of brightness really catches the eye and gives them some weight.
I don't want to tell you what to think, but if your goal was to take a picture of the flowers, then you should know that they didn't stand out enough.

Makes sense... What is your opinion on this compromise?

I have a strong dislike for mostly black and white pictures. It obviously gets the job done but it feels like cheating and it just looks tacky.
I'm really no expert, by the way. I'm a beginner myself, but the way I see it, if I took a photo with a goal in mind, and that goal wasn't reached, then the photo is a failure and it's better to just keep it in mind for future attempts and learn from it.
Still, I quite like the black and white photo!

I'd totally use that bee-pepe as a snapchat sticker

Definitely need more emphasis on the flower. The twigs and the branch are unneeded. The main subject is the flower and the other elements in the photo distract from it too much. My recommendation would be to retake this with the flowers in the frame much larger so that there is more focus on it, allowing the background green of the grass to compliment it with the green color all blurred like it is right now. This crop of widescreen is also a bit odd, but I'm guessing you did this because you were trying to include the long twigs and cut out other stuff from the original.

A flower is just a flower. That's not what this picture is about. If i wanted to take a picture of a flower i would have. This flower is on the end of a long twig. It's growing and thriving, reaching out. So yes it's a flower, but the flower is a metaphor.
>>3066541
that's fine. If you wanted to emphasize a flower on a long twig, then eliminate all other elements and isolate to just the long twig and the flower on it. Other stray twigs and branches just take away from the subject which is the long twig with a flower on the end.
personally it looks like the kind of picture my grandma takes with her cell phone camera. so I would say go back and recompose the idea again this time with less obstructions or unnecessary elements.
