I dont understand why people are objected to the idea of shooting in raw?? Surely you'd want to be able to make changes, retaining quality, after you've taken the pictures incase you've over or under exposed it?

11fps raw + jpeg on Sony a6k with 64gb xc SD card

RAW is only slow if you have a slow SD card. With a fast card RAW is faster because you camera doesn't have to convert before writing.
>>3059608
How fast is fast?
>>3059623
like anything up to and over 80mbps
>>3059624
And i thought that my 45mb/s SD card was fast
If you never intend to edit why not
>>3059640
I dont think I've ever released any photos without editing them (unless were talking about way back when i was a a lil shit)
>>3059640
but good point it just requires you to convert it if you dont want to edit it i guess
>>3059633
45 is not slow but
most new cards are pushing 90
a lot of digitals have an internal memory buffer
>>3059753
A lot of digital what, cameras?
K, I don't really need buffer, I shoot flash
Because I shoot jpeg+raw and this is a false dichotomy hinged on your delusion about the value of your editing skills

Don't know about other brands, but on Canon, there's a number in the viewfinder in the bottom right. That's the capacity of your buffer. Mines usually around 25, and I can shoot at 8fps max. So about 3 seconds of full speed shooting.
