Well, you are always accompanied by at least two guides and they will usually tell you when it's alright to take photos and when you have to turn in your camera. However, since you travel with a larger group of tourists it was possible to sneak a few photos here and there without the guides noticing. Regarding the price you pay for an all-inclusive trip so that would include the tickets. All in all it would be around 1300 usd for five nights. Quite expensive but worth it I think.

The only time i have had my photos check was when i was taking a picture of a statue and in the background was a painting of kim il sung my guide suggested that the photo should be deleted as i obscured a picture of the leader, as you can see from my images pictures of soldiers is allowed. Most of my pictures were taken when i was working as a foreign guide so i knew all my korean coworkers really well so they were pretty easy going with what i shot. Trust no matter where you are will unlock alot of doors for you.

everyone has different experiences with the guides the state issue them for the trip. for example a lot of the new recruits straight out of university seem to enforce the rules pretty strongly while the older more experianed ones are a lot more casual about what you can photograph it all comes down to luck.
