Just bought a Nikon D7200 - Yay - it comes with an 18 - 105mm lense which will be good to start with because I am a complete beginner - sorry poorfags - Will buy either a 35, or a 50 lense and a wide angle after.

Buy the 35 for normal everyday walkabout photography and a Samyang 16/2 for the UWA stuff.
The 18-105 is a junk like any other superzoom anyways.
why is it junk? it has VR... it will be good for a beginner like you OP to start

Not that anon but I had the 18-105 and some of the shots I got back from it were embarrassingly soft. I didn't really notice until I upgraded my monitor and got better lenses but even when I just have shots fit to view in camera raw its obvious what was shot in the kit zoom. Incredibly soft, distorted, low contrast and full of ugly chromabs.
When did people start using the word "lense" unironically? Just say lens so you don't sound like a sperg
