What kind of post processing is used to achieve this look?
I've gone through literally every single VSCO preset and can't nail it

Kill yourself my man
>>3044741
This guy seriously has the most subdued, classy smooth post processing I've ever seen
It doesn't have that digital flatness but it doesn't look like the faux-film look you get straight out of the box with most VSCO/RNI presets
I can't nail it no matter how much I try

Shit maaaan, there is nothing else you can do here, it is encrypted.
>>3044743
In my defense I just torrented them
>>3044746
Ignore the VSCO part
>>3044750
I cannot ignore that you did zero research further then trying some one button options.
Use RawTherapee or Darktable instead.
>>3044756

He used Lightroom tho
>>3044756

Are you thinking of the mobile app?
Okay, I'm not op but I have a question
How do I get this cold but cozy effect?
>>3044767
I really feel like it's a running gag at this point to come to /p/ and ask how to raise the black levels.
>>3044769
I'm a noob, chill I don't wanna use that photo effect free shit- I wanna do it manual
>>3044775
Yeah I know these were shot with a Leica Q, but the SOOC jpegs are dull and flat, he heavily post processes all his shots
>>3044763
Noob here, I've been editing my raw in LR. Any standout reason why people prefer other programs? Haven't looked into the options.
isn't it just low saturation and lowered blacks (fade)?
>>3044788
Most people use it because they use other programs in the Adobe suite. I do graphic design as well so Lightroom comes in my CC package
OP, the blacks aren't really lifted on these, I can't figure out how to get the tones so even, either.

I think desaturating at least a little bit must be part of it?

low saturation, high contrast and lifted blacks
perhaps some fiddling around with the yellow
>>3044908
He definitely didn't raise the blacks, they're nice and crisp
>>3044908
Checking histograms, blacks aren't up at all.
>>3044769
Basically every time someone posts a picture on /p/ and asks how to achieve that look, the correct answer is either
a) crush the blacks, or
b) lift the blacks
>>3045341
Heyyy turns out it's more complex than that in at least this case.
>>3044767
This is looks to me like lab scans of underexposed negative film. Meaning that the scans were over-sharpened and they tried to digitally brighten the image at least 2 stops.
>>3044883
you're right in that none of the colors in these images violate sRGB. color bleeding by pushing up contrast kills smooth tonality.
try doing ctr-shift-y to see a clipping mask in photoshop based on your selected color space (which should be srgb)
take any colors that clip and manually brush them down.
enjoy smooth tones and rich dark colors
