Is it just me that enjoys carrying around a bang up camera? Like a cheap lens and camera setup you bought off of eBay or second hand places possibly?
I usually use a 5d mk3 with a sigma 24-105 DG OS for everyday shooting when I'm going somewhere serious.
But my beatup setup cost be around £230 tops. Use an old 550d I got on eBay for £130 (great condition, 6000 shutter count when bought), got myself a tamron 18-200 for £30 and a yongnuo (thought fuck it, I've spent more for a filter) 50mm f1.8 for £40, adding the cost of a couple batteries and a portrait grip and you have my shitty little beatup camera that I take almost everywhere. Even to my more professional shoots. When I'm shooting with families or kids it helps to give the little ones the 550d so they feel less nervous when getting their photo taken. Sometimes I even print out the photos for the parents just for keeps sake.
Post your own beatups :)
-Photo related, that I took with the 550D using the 50mm

Yes, you are the only person on earth who does this.

You are rare in this passion.

I understand, yes, this isnt a humble brag, you're telling us that you just prefer to carry shittier kit, thats what i'm getting here.

My beat up is a disposable kodak from 2009 with dog shit stuck in the lense from a farming show i dropped it at. Posting it would mean developing it, which I cant afford because I keep on buying new lenses for my Leica m9 which, you know, I only use for my more professional gigs with children and families.
i have a fujifilm x10 for everyday care, but i'm thinking about selling it, because I don't see myself shooting everything... even street photography I rather do with a DSLR and with a good gear. But always thinking about what to shoot

Yeah I get you, it's mainly for travel purposes too. I'd rather lose £200 than lose £1800 yaknow

Instead of being a gearfag, maybe we should talk about how a snapshit is still a snapshit even if it has a hot girl in it.

Was part of a storyboard. So a snapshit was okay to use
