different folks gonna give you different opinions, but I'd recommend looking at other photographers' work (depending on what you want to shoot) and building up a repertoire of shots you've seen before. The idea would be that if you come across a similar scene, you remember the well composed image you have seen before and try to apply the same to your picture.
