I like how I did the framing on this shot, but I fucked up the settings. I should've chosen f/16 or something like that, for more focus. As-is, only the bottom of the puddle is focused. I wanted focus everywhere.

Different people have different preferences. I'm a person that likes to make pictures look like 'more than reality', because the way you perceive it in real life is always different from how you can capture it on camera anyways. I like to put an 'emotion-filter' of sorts on top of it.
I like the picture you just posted way more, it turns much 'black space' into things with texture. Especially bottom-right. The shot looks way better that way imo.

Idk I like it as is. The shaded water beneath the rocks is in focus. Kinda looks nice and natural as is. The oof reeds contrast well and make you feel like your feeling the sun with how much light they carry.

Thanks for the feedback guys, maybe I'm finding the colors a bit bland because I took the shot. That's something I need to work on.
Regarding the ISO, I, uh, forgot to change it after taking some other shots earlier.
I noticed afterwards and took other shots at ISO 100, but it might've been too as the clouds had started descending more into the valley and the sun was very low. I did get some nice highlights on the clouds thanks to the sun's lower angle. Pic related.

This one isn't awful. It could probably be made into a decent photo with some editing. I'd consider cropping it to have the lone bicyclist in the centre.
Seriously, though. Ditch the first two and don't rely on the location to magically make your snapshots good. Put some care and thought into the photos both before and after you take them
If you feel they do have merit I would very much like to hear why you like them and why you thought they should be posted on a photography board.

Try shooting at different exposure to get that sky in there, it would make it a more interesting shot. Always compose your shot for the brightest area, cameras can save the detail in lower light parts of a photo fairly well which can be corrected in post. Also, maybe get lower to create a different effect, this kind of just looks like a snapshot. Everyone at this park has seen this moment from this angle before.

how'd you get 1/200 at night, ISO 100 with f2? I get away with 1/45 of a second, on a 1.7 with 2000 iso at night. also have an a6000
