i mean, i'm not making masterpieces over here. Hell, I don't even aspire to. Getting a picture that more than a handful of people give a shit about would make me happy.

No, I've studied and practiced classic instrumentation since I was 9. A camera is just a neat invention to capture images of the real world. If you want to make art with your camera, go ahead. I have from time to time, but generally when I want to make art, it's not a camera I reach for.

No i dont because we do it out of passion just like other great artists and i would argue that photography is as hard as learning something else.
Anyone can take pictures same as anyone can pick up a pen or a brush or a guitar but just havig those things isnt gona make you good. And regarding what you said in your post, would you say something similar to an artist thats using digital tools to create his drawing?
