If you shot the picture, yes. If you're just modifying other images you found, you're an editor, not a photographer.
For me, shooting the image and editing the image have two different vibes to them. When I'm shooting I'm talking and having fun with who ever I'm shooting. When I'm editing, I grab some coffee, put on some good music, and just chill.
