What lens do I need to shoot photos like pic related?
Is it possible to do it with a 70-200 lens for example?

You don't need any specific lens or camera, you need an understanding of composition.
This scene could easily be done on the lens you mentioned

What's this shit /p/ always says about never having the horizon at the midway point?

Yup, I think so.
But for simplicity's sake, probably just use a 50mm prime.

HURRRRRRRZ
dumb faggot.

Nuts. I was going to say 600/4 jokingly.

If you really want to create that shot you have to go to whatever big budged movie is using the panavision 65mm camera and lenses used to shoot it.

on 35 or crop a 200mm should be about right to get a similar compression. though the film was shot on 70mm super panovision, to get it bang on OP is looking at a 450-500mm on a 645 cropped to 2.20:1.
could probably be done on 35mm with a scope lens but you could buy a 645d II kit with lenses for less

Losing the ability to gain pattern recognition sucks.

I feel like the rules were made up by successful Jew photographers to trick any possible competition

It was shot on 65mm film and projected on 70mm film.

Don't be such a bitch about getting old. I learned how to convert camera settings to the LV/EV scale in my head with a couple of marker values (f/2=2, f/4=4, f/16=8; 1/60=6, 1/250=8, 1/1000=10, etc.) and practice. A kid's intuition about things can be correct quickly and easily, but when it fails he's up the creek of shit.

Pardon the shitty meme, but it really applies.
