Hey guys! I'm sorry for shit posting but really need help.

cant you just copy all the files into one folder and then just sort by date of file creation? how many subfolders are there?

also I bet that lightroom or something similar can import all photos off a device and arrange them in folders by the date in the EXIF automatically, but i'm not 100% sure how to do that since I don't take/backup phone pics like that.

The problem is that the "date of creation" becomes the date of copying for some reason, making all files "created" at the same time... And I just lost my lightroom license, getting a new as soon as my university seals the deal though

sounds to me like the solution is definitely some sort of import/library manager (like lightroom) that can read EXIF and use it to sort your photos. maybe there is some alternative to lightroom that you can use while you wait for a new license - or if you're a little tech savvy, you could probably even write some sort of lightweight bash script that would just rename each file according to its EXIF date/time info. looks like this dude was working on something similar: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/26963377/bash-script-to-read-exif-rename-jpg-files-and-check-output-if-file-exit-crea

I know basic programming but I'm not that tech savvy. I'll look into alternative library managers though, thanks!

Oh and when I upload the files to OneDrive for sharing between platforms and friends, it fucks up the order again by making me upload videos and photos separately and also uploading several files at a time, prioritizing upload speed instead of keeping order. Does anyone know how to fix that?

After copying all your shit into one folder: right click -> sort by -> more. Is there a date take field that you can use? I'm on Win7, dunno what its like with the newer versions
