I honestly think, if this is legitimate, you should buy a cheap slr with a cheap but fast lens so you can get shallow depth of field on your photos, and shoot in raw so you can edit in light room for colours and lighting and stuff.

Since you are using Instagram, it doesn't really matter if you get entry level gear because the images will be so small that most problems with the image won't be an issue. Depth of field is the only thing you really can't replicate effectively that will be super noticeable on Instagram
