One of my self-imposed constraints was to always include the towers somewhere in the frame. However, I've run into a few scenes where it was simply impossible. I'm not sure if I should stick with the constraint or if I'd be okay to sprinkle 2-4 images with no towers throughout the set. Pic related.

OP, you realy have no eye for photography. The location had potential and what you made out of it is just sad. Sorry.

I quite like the idea of keeping the towers present in all the pictures to give it a sense of constricted space or how you want to put it.

In some of these tho, it felt like it was more a game of trying to see where you could take a photo with the towers in them, than making photos that said anything interesting about the place.

I would like it if as you said, you would include more people in the pictures.
For me what's interesting about this set is getting an impression of the daily life in a small rural Japanese industrial town, and not all of these do that effectively.

This'll be unpopular opinion but I like this one precisely because the tower was cut off. Feels more real than trying to go super wide or step back to force it in, which would have probably added too much negative space. But that's just my opinion - it's always subjective.

Really like all these. Very interesting idea for a photo set. Good job.

Thanks for the comment. I think that having the towers at various scales will make a more dynamic series overall. I personally hate wide angled shots angled up without distortion correction (pic related) so I tend to avoid that.

these are the best in the thread for me. Great stuff. I always imagine the entire country as being so populated but you really showed the odd suburbia. Even the architecture of modern stuff, like the towers is different than the cultures I'm familiar with. I want to go to Japan so bad but see a lot of this stuff as well as the proto-typical spots. Cool stuff. Really good scans and color correction would make these really stand out.
