I need advice on a leans. I'd like to do some gig/concert work/ My budget is small, maybe 300 euro. Any recomadations? I was thinking of getting theSigma 17-50mm f2.8.
You're gonna need a longer lens for concert stuff.

But if I'm in the pit on front? I'm thinking just local venues, nothing major.

Crop frame or full frame?

Thinking about that 17-50mm -- If you're in shitty venue with no stage and you're on the front row of people 50mm will be fine. You'll be 1-2m away from the subjects and you'll be able to get most of a person playing a guitar and you'll be close enough to get some nice detail in the faces. At 17mm you'll probably be able to get the whole band.
If you're in a nicer venue with a stage, and maybe there's a little gap between the stage and the crowd, then 50mm is going to feel pretty short.
The other thing to consider here, is the lighting that these concerts are going to have. The cheaper the venue, the dimmer the lighting. f/2.8 will be difficult to shoot handheld without flash if the venue is lit by christmas lights.
I might be weird, but normally for concerts I carry a 50mm f/1.4 and an 85mm f/1.4. I like having the extra lens speed. If it's gonna be a really really tight venue, I'll carry something super wide like a 10-20mm or 8mm fisheye, even though those lenses are slower the short focal length means I can handhold at really slow shutter speeds.

nice choice for a gig or concert.

I can't imagine how inconvenient it would be to try and change lens during a concert and not drop your shit
