Hate to sound like a gearfag, but the softness/grain in a lot of these is distracting from the viewing experience. When I look at shots like this, I like them fairly clean and sharp. Not with clinical levels of sharpness e.g. with large format, but more so than what's here. It looks like 35mm black and white film, probably with a speed of 400? If so you could investigate slower films as those tend to be sharper.

I can see and appreciate what you were going for in a lot of them though. I would work on your execution a bit. Refine them more and perfect what you're trying to do, for example >>3001990 this isn't centered and straight but I feel like it was supposed to be.

Good ideas but bits are either distracting or the composition just doesn't feel refined enough.

Shooting cities in the way you're attempting to do isn't easy, believe me I know. Be more patient and more critical, wait for the right light, look for only the best composition and make it happen, then these will become really good.

Hi, my name is Steve and today I am going to be shooting some slow film on my 35mm camera with monopod and tripod. Now watch me set up as I struggle to deal with reciprocity failure in a busy location.

you've got to be harder on yourself, most of these are trash
unless you're some kind of photo god you should really only have like 3-5 keepers on a roll
