Hey /p/
Currently a Mechanical Engineering student
I don't care about M.E. but it has good salary. Photography is more fun to me. Should I switch to photography major or nah?
I'm thinking nah because what the hell do you even learn in photography class that you can't learn online
Image is a recent picture I took with some color and tone edits

It's all the Zika going to his brain. Clearly he lives in some kind of swamp nightmare zone.

Take money out of your ME salary and put it into your hobbies. Hobbies are fun because your livelihood doesn't depend on it.
FINISH YOUR FUCKING DEGREE!!!
>>2994590
Finish the degree. You will regret it if you don't. Jobs like that can help in making a hobby job for photography too.
Be a good slave and finish your degree and work on your serious and stable career, OP. It's the sensible thing to do.

Finish degree, you can always transition into self made photographer when you have steady income.
But if you fail out of the gate as photographer you cant transition into self made ME
Finish your ME degree. A good engineer will never be out of work.
Absolutely do NOT throw that away.
It seems everyone in this thread is your parent, honestly do what makes you satisfied.
Consider your choices and your pleasures, is photography/art something you'd feel 100% dedicating your life to? The fact that your even asking yourself this question in the first place says something. Do you want to live comfortably and have a guaranteed salary? You might have more money as an engineer but your satisfaction might be lower, nobody can make these choices but you OP.

Your shits already good, finish your degree and keep taking pictures. Start submitting pieces to competitions at your school just for fun

God damnit I love this picture

Do whatever you want.
You can't take money and a degree with you when you die, so have fun doing whatever you are doing.
To all anons saying a degree is more important than happiness, have fun at your wagecuck jobs that you constantly bring up in conversation because there is nothing else going on in your lives.
