The difference in scale between the crenellated wall and landscape in the background is too large. The relationship between simple and complex elements feels jarring which is not bad in itself but this jarring quality is not used to good effect either. (Because of the scale, any contrast between the texture of the wall and the appearance landscape behind it doesn't materialize very well. Ditto for any geometric comparison between the wall and the shapes (flooded fields?).) The blue of the sky and beige of the wall is pleasing but not enough on its own.

I feel like the shadows on the wall kinda fucked you on this one, even though the composition seems well thought out and the colours are great. Shooting at a more perpendicular angle to the wall in order to make the cutouts appear flatter might have been better.

Just to be clear, it is irrelevant whether or not the alterations I'm suggesting would have been feasible or whether the issues I'm describing would have been fixable given the conditions of the scene, since I'm commenting on these as visual images which is really probably the only perspective available to me anyway. In other words, I'm not offering advice on what/where or how you shoot, but rather my thoughts on how you imagine the pictures or "think visually."
