your OP picture was taken using a film camera, you cant replicate those little strings on a DSLR without them looking like shit. So get a film camera and b&w film.

Otherwise, if youre gonna use a DSLR, just pop the raw file (i'm not going to go in detail about settings because you should already know this) into lightroom or camera raw, and convert to grayscale. Maybe lessen the clarity to achieve that blur. I'm not going to tell you how to get everything else right tho.

If you have a decent camera shoot in manual and out of focus. Afterwards you can adjust in post processing as in Photoshop or a free program on the internet. Look for the programs presets. I hope this helps. Also look for sepia.
