The repetetive patters and straight lines of modern architecture is a tired subject matter, but this one I like. Bleak colors on the buildings are pleasent, and I like the trees at the bottom, they add color and creates a nature-civilization contrast. Post-suggestions: I would clone in some more trees at the lower left corner to create a full line of trees across the frame for further symmetry, and maybe extend the frame at the top slightly so the leftmost building isn't cut off. You could also try to emphasise out the small patches of color in the windows to add some interest: just use a small sat/lum brush and paint over the blue and orange curtains.

i made this thread earlier for this exact reason. just spot meter like a boss. spot meters for 18% gray. I can increase exposure by ~2.6 stops to have that object now be white with detail. conversely, I can decrease exposure by ~4 stops for something to be black with detail. about 6.5 stops. specular highlights will look better if you get exposure right

Its just an over exposed sign but i liked the wierd look it gave, It feels like some "Big Brother" shit to me. Like they are just pounding ads into those peoples souls or something.

All the gifs are this process

pick a scene
put camera on steady surface
hold shutterbutton (get as many pictures until the buffer fills and the frame rate changes"

grade them all the same in lightroom

In Photoshop File > Scripts > load images into stack

then go into window or tools find "Timeline"
should add a timline to the bottom, change it to the one that isnt "video something"

click on timeline menu, "Make frames from layers"

change the timing and export it as a .gif

first one was near the river, the second one was standing near the us bank tower.

I finally had a chance to look through the entire thread. There's a lot of pictures, so I'll just say I generally like the PP, I don't think you're as shit as you give yourself discredit for, as long as you don't actually want them to look another way but are unable too.

I surprisingly enjoyed the first set of architecture, something I don't usually do. The PP is bordering on over the top for me, but manages to stay on the right side of it. Either way that's an aesthethic choice that's up to you to make.

The hiking and street snaps were a bit hit and miss for me, but I'll point out the ones that I think worked.

Overall I enjoyed a lot of them. I'm a fan of the bubblegum æsthethic. Glad to see you had a good time, and that your first time abroad didn't spook you even if you were without a phone and laptop.
