I also love this. Sometimes I just smear it right onto the sensor, for an even dreamier look.
>>2971963
You can also dye the vaseline for neat tints.

OP here, I just tried the vaseline on the sensor and it completely fucked up my camera, I can't even see anything out of the lens now, it's like a giant schmear of an image. I think I might have put too much vaseline on? How do I get it out, I tried wiping it out but there is still so much, my camera isn't getting better at all. I use a Canon T5I, please help!!!!

You're going to need to wash it m8. Follow these steps to fix your camera.
>Take out the battery
>Take off the lense
>put some sugar and washing up liquid on a toothbrush and gently rub the sensor with it, if it's not coming off add a little hot water to the toothbrush
>wipe it down with a soft cloth
>use a second brush again (new brush so to not cross contaminate it).
>rinse the sensor under the hot tap
>polish the sensor glass with some windex and a cotton bud/lens cloth
>shake camera thoroughly and add a little isopropyl alcohol if you see any water drops near the sensor
>leave your camera on the heater for 6-8 hours
>put in your battery and put your lense back on
Be amazed, your camera will now be clean. You're lucky, if it was a pentax camera the weather sealing would trap in any moisture and you'd need to bathe it in alcohol and leave it for 3-4 weeks to dry it.

This OP. I would leave it on for 24 hours though just to be safe.

I'm new here but /p/ memes seem to be pretty fresh.
Sometimes I just leave my camera at home and I also stay home and just imagine what it would be like to take pictures.

Heaven forfend we should have an actual thread about photography tricks instead of this amazing comedy about doing things to your camera that aren't actually good for it.
>>2973010
Might actually try this with one of the beaters.
I'd have to wash it off before dev, of course.

jokes on you , silly-o. there are no photography tricks. there never were. /p/ is a high level photography board, we are the cutting edge of fine art photography, we dont believe in silly notions as photo "tricks", popularized by magazines for middle aged hobbysts aka. bird shooters and ocassional wedding photogs. do yourself a favor: dont be a simpleton and let yourself rejoice in the current freshness of this beautiful board.
