Tripods are universal, homie. They don't care if you mirrors or not.
Check out dic and mic, sirui,
Oben and manfrotto.
Why did you feel the need to start your own thread for this shit? Especially when the gear thread is literally the first thread on the first page
I wish we had mods that actually enforced this shit
>>2964700
Enforce what shit? It's not against the rules to start a gear thread, you big fucking whiny baby.
>>2964700
why you feel the need to come and here and talk shit instead of just helping a brother out.
>gear threads go on for about 2 years and have all kinds of shit in there

thanks brother

some people don't have the time to traul through huge gear threads to only 'maybe' get an answer to a simple question
>>2964707
it's not like you have to read through all posts you know? Just post your question, check back in a few hours and 99% of the time you'd have an answer

It's delightful that you don't grasp the irony that you're the one shitting up the board, and not OP.
Here's how 4chan works and why it's okay to create new threads:
1) OP creates a new thread. All threads get bumped down one, and a dead old thread that hasn't seen activity in a few days dies.
2) he gets a reply, which bumps the thread back up to the top.
3) if the thread is interesting or good, he may get quite a few replies that keep bumping it and let it stay on the front page. This is a good thing!
4) if the thread is resolved quickly, or just sucks, the replies quickly die down and the thread stops bumping
5) it is then pushed further and further down by both the creation of new threads (hence, fuck generals!) and by other threads being bumped back up past it. It eventually reaches the limbo of page six or so, where it is basically dead and just waiting to be pushed off the edge of page 10 by a new thread.
This is just the natural life cycle of a thread on 4chan. It's the way the board was structured, and it's why the creation of new threads is important: it pushes old, stale content off the end, but also makes interesting, more successful content more visible.
If you want a more organized, structured posting structure, I would suggest a dedicated photography forum. They typically have entire boards dedicated just to gear, or even specific types of gear. That might be more your speed, ace.
Manfrotto 3001 has been my go-to for anything small, I have a 3021 for big stuff. 3001 and head you can get on Craigslist for less than 100 all day, and it's Italian and all metal no Chinese ching-chong shit

and this becomes a problem if we actually encourage this type of mindless thread creation. Sure, if it's just one person that's fine, but if 10 people make threads like this, you're killing 10 other threads, with gear related threads that could often be answered in 2-3 replies
>>2964727
Oh no! 10 done and dead threads that haven't seen a post in four days off page 10! What a loss! It's almost like 4chan was designed with this goal in mind!

fuck your subreddits
