Also, why not create a style instead of looking for one to replicate? Just take your camera, shoot what ever and start gathering and matching the puzzle pieces.

Right now I'm burning from the desire to get to shooting, because I've only began to explore the realm of home developing and can't wait to try the Rodinal stand meme next. But I've hit the same basic problem: There's nothing to take photos of. The autumn colors are already gone, snow won't come in at least a month, and there's nothing in this garbage tier town that I haven't already photographed.

Change the way you shoot, shoot by different times, by different weather, by different aim. Challenge yourself!

I do not know how many photographers there are with great websites and perfectly edited photos on it. Photos that are completely empty and dumb although there's a good atmosphere. And it's always the same, flat, beautiful, nothing special. They change the place, but not themselves. I assume so are you.

Well, dogshit tier weather rolled in so I went out to the ghetto to try and get as ugly shit on film as possible. Easily done since I live in the said ghetto, had to walk about 300m til the roll was already full. The film is now drying, we'll see in about an hour if I succeeded. Anyway, I guess you're right. It felt like there was nothing worth shooting around here, but once I started looking for ways to portray this awful neighborhood in all its depressing misery, I had a pretty good time. Hopefully some good photos too. Here's a snapshit I took last year.

Sometimes I feel like there's nothing interesting to take pictures of anymore, because it's already been done by someone else better than me, with better gear and with better weather.

Usually this comes after looking at photos online.

My solution is to leave the internet and go outside, or read a book if I can't go outside.
