Forgot I had these. I was about to buy some film for my Electro 35 and I found these in my garage. The Scotch expired in 1996 and the Agfa expired in 1995.
Should I use them now (or in the next year) or hold on to them? I'm guessing slide film developing will not be commercial viable for too much longer which makes me want to use it sooner than later.

unless they were in cold storage don't expect much out of them.
the agfa does x-process well so you might give that a try regardless

I'll try and get around to it in the next day or two.

Thank you so much, I'm building a resource of camera film/vhs/cassette tape packaging aesthetics for future art projects and I would LOVE a high quality scan of those boxes.
To answer your question, every day you don't use them is another day where you might not have access to the tech to develop them or another day where the film could degrade even more.
Go to the countryside and take hipsterific aged photos of pumpkins and get mad art-college girl booty.
