Does anyone ever do photos involving props?
Im thinking of taking some dark photos with pic related
You'll be horrifically embarrassed by yourself in a few years if you do.

This is 100% true. There is no upside to doing this.
>>2941347
Still an embarrassment. You can't use a symbol linked to a devastating real-world tragedy and then say "HURF A DURF IT'S JUST SURREALISM"
If anything, that's worse than tryhard fascism.
>>2941355
>Hurf a Durf
I dont think you get surrealism
regardless
I dont see a lot of pictures that people set up on /p/ using sets and shit
and why isn't there a cinematography board?
>>2941361
I think I get surrealism more than you do.
You don't see sets and props and shit because conceptual photography is more of a i'm-20-years-old-and-here'-s-my-deviantart-page kind of thing. There's always room for more good photos, though.
There isn't a cinematography board because there's already a photography board where we have lots of cinematography threads, and there's a television and film board where they presumably also have cinematography threads, albeit with less insight and intelligence than what we can muster here.
>>2941366
I think with the proper tone, props and shit can be awesome But I do think it's hard to do
>>2941388
No problem, buddy. I'm honestly just trying to save you from massive, painful regret that you'll have to work hard to scrub off the internet.
I think that the fascist/nazi think could work, but change the iconography to something more absurd, yet still meaningful.
>>2941391
Should I just avoid using anything historical?
>>2941333
sure OP sounds good
>>2941366
>here's a television and film board where they presumably also have cinematography threads
They do, it involves jerking over shots like this

>not jerking over that shot
come on man
Also I recall we had movie screenshot threads on here a few times.

Oh I have, Barry Lyndon makes my dick hard all the way through.
just sounds cringe

astrophotography fag here
this is very true
i used to take pics of the sky trying to catch some meteor streaks at night but it was pointed out to me that a meteorite was responsible for at least one of the greatest mass extinctions on this planet
literally billions of individuals and thousands of species were wiped out by one
pic related, my embarrassment

>I just happen to have some NAZI shit laying around for some reason
>I know, I'll take some "Dark, Edgy" photos with it as a prop.. that isn't an overused, played out, 8th grader tier trope at all (said without sarcasm)
>hey, people who are old enough to shave are trying to give me a heads up that it will be gay as hell, but what do they know.
Go for it faggot.
do a night porter type erotic shoot.
anything else (le dark) will be trash.
Historical artifacts can be interesting props, but NAZI+Dark just sounds like edgy trash. Prove us wrong though!

Different anon here, but I think some historical images could work just not over the top "edgy" Nazi props.

Extinction is natural and beneficial, plus it wasn't a single meteor, it was probably several plus increased volcanic activity that blocked out the sun and stopped plants growing. They call it an "extinction event", but it's not like 9/11 or something where the dinos got smashed out of existence one morning. It probably took thousands of years.
Anyway, a meteor isn't a meteorite.
Take more shooting star pics.
