Yeah Colonial Photo is pretty good. The staff (especially the ones in the camera dept.) can be a bit stuck up but they know their shit and it's no issue for me since I would just go in and get what I wanted, paid, and walked out. Real shame that they moved their E-6 processing to some lab outside of the city though.

Frank in the camera department is based though. I bought an OM-1n bundled with 4 lenses (A Vivitar 28mm 2.8, Olympus 35mm 2.8, Olympus 50mm 1.8, and a Vivitar 135mm 2.8), a winder, and a shit ton of other stuff from him for $60 a couple years back at one of the meets at Kiwi Camera.
Zane at the processing counter is chill too. We were never really close friends but I've known him since elementary and we'd usually have a quick chat when I came in to get film developed.

The first ones were developed by himself, with the second roll being developed at a lab with an actual developing machine and scanner.
you can tell because the ones done by the lab have an Agfa lab and "Only the best :-))" in the exif.

Well I had to evacuate for hurricane matthew but imagine a cardboard box with a piece of paper made round inside to soften the light and a lightbulb at the bottom. Hole in top for film, then took photo of negative with galaxy s4.

Frank just left sadly. I heard he's working for Kiwi Camera now, which is pretty cool. I bought a Nikon EM from him which has been pretty good to me as a backup for my F2. Mike from Kiwi is probably the most badass photographer/camera repairman I've ever met. If you ever need repairs go to him. And is Zane the guy with the long black hair? I've never done much landscape shooting. I'm sure Florida has some beautiful places to shoot, I'm just more interested in architecture and candid shooting. One thing I will say is that Orlando is a city that is not immediately inspiring, but presents itself to you in the most unexpected moments. Every time I'm out driving or shooting I see some of the most bizarre shit I've ever seen. For example, I was reloading my F2 and as I'm about halfway through the load a homeless man in baggy dirty clothes passes me wearing fucking bunny ears.

Honestly it's just like Orlando but on a larger scale, with shitter roads, and all the tourists are downtown instead of at attractions and I-Drive/Millennia. It's a hell of a lot busier though compared to Orlando where you could practically stand in the street on a weekday.
There's also this place called Central Camera which is pretty much Conolial, but if the small cabinet of used film cameras ended up taking over the whole store.

Thrift shops, flea markets, and MAYBE Harmon Photo in Winter Park (although I've never actually been there since they come off as more of a consumer camera store rather than a more hobby/enthusiast oriented store like Colonial).

A little secret of mine for used cameras is Shopgoodwill. The Goodwill on OBT puts up film cameras from time to time on there, and it beats getting scalped on eBay.

It's just old and run down, not much here. The historical buildings aren't photogenic either, they look trashy to me, but it could be because I associate them with the people in this area. There are some rich neighborhoods closer towards the ocean, large homes and boats.
There's a few parks around, and then there's the beach and boardwalk.

It sounds like much, but it doesn't feel like it.
