Hey guys, I just started shooting with an old 35mm film SLR and after I had finished my roll I rewound it an found all the film spooled around the grip thing on the right hand side. It did not seem right when rewinding it because the rewind spinner was chugging every push.
What did I do wrong? Was it when I loaded the film I made a mistake? How can I correct this in the future. I hate wasting film.

Did you enable rewind mode? It'll be a little switch or button that releases the mechanism and allows you to rewind info the canister
GOD. FUCKING. DAMNIT.
The little button on the bottom of my Pentax K1000? WHERE THE FUCK WAS THAT IN THE YOUTUBE VIDEOS

Shitty videos. It's okay, I don't think it's ever happened to me but I've lost rolls from other equally stupid things.

I guess this is the true expierence... Sighhh***...

I did the same exact thing with my first roll of film. It happens.

Thanks man, it was pretty discouraging to say the least but it's good to know I'm not hopeless yet. Have a good one.

Babbys first film fuck up
It's okay, we've all done it before
I've learned to tape my film door shut so that I only open it when I'm absolutely positive that I did everything correctly.
Once you rewind a roll correctly, listen closely to the noise it makes, you'll learn to identify whether or not your film is rewinding correctly based on the noise it makes
I feel your pain. Nothing like ruining your film because you forgot to lock the camera back and it pops open mid-shoot. Makes you look really professional too.
