I love Laowa. Those crazy chinks are doing some really innovative stuff in macro photography.
>>2932233
True. The 15mm macro is wonderful.
>>2932239
Same happened to me.
I was all about street and portrait, then my girlfriend gathered money from my relatives and friends and gave me a sigma 105 f2.8 1:1 macro.
Awesome for portrait, but holy crap macro is just so fun. Even the spiderweb at the corner of your room can look interesting.
That's a repurposed endoscopic lens, isn't it.

I swear that middle light is the same as those cheap IKEA bendy lights.
>>2932276
Probably. Cheap chink shit uses the same components as each other a lot.
I can already see this in some japanese porn where the guy takes photos from inside the girl's vagina.
>>2932301
That's already a thing.

This kind of lens was used here:

I say it has potential
Finally. A way to get a colonoscopy without health insurance.
That's pretty funny looking. It will be great for people who work in the field but not for the stuff I do. I really want that 15mm macro though.

I'm worried about how not robust that lens might be.
But it seems like a cool idea if it works.
looks like a mauser aircraft cannon

this made my day

What do you do for lighting?
>>2932989
Expensive way: ring flashes or sets or two strobes, diffused and/or bounced.
Cheap way: get yourself a shitload og LEDs with a colour temperature between 3000 and 3500 kelvin, connect them using paralel wiring and build yourself an illumination set with a plastic container.
Use AA rechargeable batteries for the power input.
I find their lack of sample shots disturbing

ah its snorkel lens...
>>2933248
What do you use personally?
>>2933395
The cheapest one, homemade led lighting indoors and that shiny ball in the sky outdoors
