Not OP, but I've been to Iceland.
Find a tree. Cut it down. It's satisfying and you'll be helping to keep Iceland disgustingly bare.
Drive fast on open stretches of road if you enjoy that kind of thing, gee, I sure hope you can drive.
The north is very nice if you're there long enough.

When you hit Reykjavik, there's a small independent music shop with a bunch of vinyl, pretty neat if you like old bootlegs.

Well there is a lot of must dos...

From my experience:
- road f35, incredible landscapes and little refuge in the middle of the road with thermal pool (with a stunning view on the glacier)
- wales, not cheap (around 80 in Dalvil) but if you're lucky you will see a lot of them (15 for me, i was lucky)
- dettifoss, most breathtaking waterfall I saw in Iceland
- East fjords, not incredible but nice roads and cities
- glacier vatnajokull (if you can afford a guide, i recommend you to visit ice caves, i didn't because im poor, but i think it Worth the money)

I've heard west fjords are nice but didn't see it, also take time to explore by your own on random locations, iceland is incredible everywhere

A quick guide to iceland: Find a tourist guide. Look at all the places that are marked on them.
Avoid these at all costs.

A word of warning- easy looking hikes may turn very difficult especially with rain, because a lot of the terrain is very loose gravel.

I can definitely drive but it took some work. I'm 18, which isn't legally old enough to rent a car in iceland. so I'm renting a Nissan 4x4 from a local with a spare car. should be interesting. I'll be there alone, for 2 weeks, so I'm sure I'll have time to check out a good chunk of the north. fingers crossed for westfjords

The only two that aren't actually snapshits. When you are photographing an interesting / beautiful subject you should really work on the composition. Anyone can make a good looking photo out of a sunset for example.
