sadly i was using an nd filter, my goal was that since it was going to storm, and it was getting darker out, i would get the nice smooth clouds id hoped, but i guess one filter wasnt enough and i couldnt only take a picture at a max of 1.3 seconds before i over-exposed

This could be wider and exposure need to be corrected. This at least need to open up at least 1.5 stops up to get the contrast and some highlights on details especially the white patch of fur on the dead rat. As of now its flat, slightly underexposed and boring.. Learn to use your histogram when you are shooting or editing it helps. Its kind of an interesting subject but with the right composition it can tell something. But this doesnt at all.

2) lot of sky, and not particularly engaging sky given the amount of the frame it's eating up
3) the arrangement of the bales seems a little scattershot, there's 4 odd ones breaking the horizon line and driving home the impression that it isn't particularly deliberate in composition.

Also, the reason this type of photo is immediately tempting is a product of basic colour wheel compatibility. There needs to be a more pronounced yellow/blue contrast or the whole thing won't be very pleasing.

Pro-tip: Use whatever editing techniques are necessary for each photo. Don't just slap on some script. Presets are find for foundational issues, but if you're just pressing play without actually doing anything or considering the needs of each photo, then you're going to have shit results.

I think in this one you need to think what your subject is. It looks like a really cool area with lots of photo opportunities. I would have focused on the graffiti and maybe composed a shot straight on perhaps. In this one in particular there is not enough graffiti and too much stuff going on the left of the frame. Also it looks like it could benefit from profile correction.

I liked that you tried something different but to the viewer it's impossible to tell that you are at the train tracks. It might have been neat to incorporate the tracks in the foreground of a landscape with the buildings in the background or something but I feel a bit too distracted by iron hoops. The 3rd one is the best of the three, I think its well composed but just a bit underexposed.
