If Sony then enjoy your corroded electronics. If not then just enjoy.

Sony A7.
$900AUD.
Seems to like all of my PK and FD glass so far.

But not your eyes. That is what usually corrodes its insides

I used to shoot with this thing up until last year. It's a mirrorless Sony bridge camera with 5MP that was made in 2002.
It's surprisingly good though.
>>2909281
>It's surprisingly good though
I highly doubt it
>>2909285
It was for the time. It was definitely enough for me as a beginner.
This is just a random photo I pulled just now from my old memory card. Not edited, not resized.

I used to have an fz7 that was a similar deal. 6mp, long fast lens, tiny sensor. I liked it back then but I could never use it today.
>>2909281
Yeah I know someone who has a 717, I like the design. Did you get a successor?
Last gen tech, next gen price.

Which product has made this one obsolete?
>>2910750
Leicaboss bringing the heat...
So, who owned one of these beasts?
The fact that these are still in production and are for sale brand new for $2000 is amazing
>>2911104
They're the best 35mm camera ever made. Why wouldn't they be?
Kudos to nikon for having the balls to make one in the first place.

b-but I still shoot with a 350d and the 18-55 kit
>>2909137
You're already an hour behind the times.
>>2911109
Other than the fact that it backs up data like f-stop and shutter speeds to a SD card (which I must admit is real fuckin neato), why not just stick with the F5?

I own an F5, it's a beast, Exposure is perfect all the time, the auto focus motor feels like it’s going to rip the guts out of whatever lens is mounted to the camera, with a big lens the camera jolts from the glass sliding back and forth.
Everything about it feels overbuilt, I could probably hammer a timber house frame together with it and there lies the problem, it's heavy, big and requires 8xAA batteries.
The F6 does it almost all whilst being lighter, more compact, has an amazing lighting system and a menu that doesn't require going on mir.com.
>>2914220
Yeah I remember wanting an F5 years ago and I read that the thing ate AA batteries like nothing else.
>>2914223
It was mostly a problem in the early days for the press photographers who would shoot roll after roll after roll. Back then you had no proper rechargeable batteries so 8 new AA's after 20-30 rolls became old really fast. It was expensive to shoot the F5, hence the massive price drop in resale.
It's new enough that you can still find old forum posts from people complain about it.
Nowadays with Eneloops it's no longer a problem. Who's shooting 30 rolls in succesion today?
Get one, they are fun, and a solid exercise for your wrist.
(If you do try to get one with the MF-28 back)
>>2914242
Or you could get an F100, put Eneloops in it, and have an equally capable but much smaller camera. Then you can get a medium format camera for weightlifting.

>>2914248
I have an F100 as well, the F5 is superior in terms of build, AF and viewfinder. Although the F100 has a lit focus points. I prefer the F5 > F100.
>>2914212
nope, even worse. my aperture is stuck wide open so I can't even try to make the pictures any sharper
