Jordan is an interesting character though I'd be careful drawing too much inspiration from him. For Jordan it wasn't enough for him to be the best, he wanted others to fail. He's certainly a very driven individual but he's also an asshole.

Partially because in his chosen field it was pretty close to being a zero sum game. Same with any professional athlete. Most of them parrot the same old stuff re: sportsmanship, but each and every one wants to be the one at the top of the heap.
Anyway, no one remains an inspiration if you look closely enough (Mother Theresa did some seriously fucked up shit). The important thing is to learn from them, both as examples and counterexamples.
