Anyone know why my higher pixel camera takes a worse photo than the lower pixel one?
Here is a picture. The one on the left is my old phone, and I upgraded to a far superior phone but it masks most blemishes almost makes you look not real. I liked the realness of the camera before because it didnt hide anything. It even looks like I have color in my eyes too. Any idea whats going on?
Aggressive noise reduction.

>higher pixels takes worse quality
When are people gonna learn that high megapixels is a gimmick
>>2893262
How do I turn that off? Never heard of it
>>2893258
>That disgusting head shape
Kill yourself OP.

You can't. Smartphones don't offer a lot of control to the user, as they aren't very serious photography tools. Noise reduction will be turned on by default by the manufacturer to make the camera appear to perform better than it really does in low light. It comes at the expense of fine details and in some instances color accuracy.

Ah I see well that makes sense. Yeah in a darker room I just come out black but on my other phone it did a LOT better job. I donno, kinda sucks

i had an old 3MP camera that did some amazing crisp photos. its like every pixel mattered, and the lens had amazing microcontrast
. unlike my shit rabal that produces a blurry mess that only looks passable after lots of tweaking.

Then why do IPad 10mgp front facing cameras really show detail then retard?
>>2893314
they dont?
shoot in better light.
>>2893318
Yes they fucking do, they show EVERY blemish and detail on anything.

i think youre exaggerating.

I think youre an idiot.
amazing thread

Pixels mean shit. The more pixels a camera has, the smaller they are. Smaller pixels=less light.

Smaller pixels=more detail resolved as well.
Imagine that, there's a tradeoff. I wonder if tradeoffs are very common things in photography...

>Smaller pixels=more detail resolved as well
Lol no. Get your facts right.
>>2896429
Do you somehow think that a sensor can resolve detail that's smaller than a pixel site?
