Its a decent catalog for that purpose, sure.
But Flickr in itself, really does suck. The interface sucks, the user base sucks, the interactions with others generally sucks, the connectivity aspect sucks.
Flickr is outdated, frustrating and completely underwhelming. But sure, its a good repository for gear fagging.
