I really like that image, she looks like she's falling backwards. The black and white works very well to give it a grungy feel, especially on her legs, the sole of her foot, and the degenerate tattoo tramp stamp on her back. It's like watching a junkie fall through space into the void. Great photo, imho

\I'd love to get more into underwater photography especially since I just got my advanced open water cert. Problem is I can't find a decent housing for my DSLR that's under $500. What do you guys use?

I have a koi pond and all I get is reflection. I'm looking for snapshots of my fish. My water is crystal clear so it should be easy. But I see the clouds or the fence in all my pictures. If I walk all around and move the camera to all angels I might can get about the amount of reflection you have there but it takes a lot of photos.
Is there an easy way to reduce the amount of reflection on the water.

Polarizer filter brah
>>2890080
cool, I'll check it out.

Underwater EQ is expensive as balls, and frikin scary too. Even if you buy the nice expensive housing you always wodner.. is it properly sealed? Are the o'rings in good shape? I'm a dive master and I had a dslr drown. After that I stopped underwater photography.
If I wanted to do underwater photography today I would buy a canon g16 ( or the latest) Those cameras are badass and already have a underwater red filter compensation and the case is not crazy expensive.
I have a thread called "Thoughts?" LEt me know what you think.
Here a picture I took in a cenote in Mexico.
Peace
>>2890107
thank you
>>2890115
Cheers!
I'm making some noise in a thread called "Thoughts?" and other one "I know a thing or two of photography and photoshop..."
Check it out, leave a comment
Shot a few with a shitty GoPro knock off everything is blue below 10m should I invest in a red light or a filter instead?

its this dinky polaroid housing for an nex 5
http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/131293530481?lpid=82&chn=ps&ul_noapp=true
had it for almost two years, I use it pretty often and have taken it past 40-50ft a few times. idk how its miraculously held up so well, never had anything close to a leak.
I dig turtle4
>>2889815
might be a better option for you to get a cheaper mirrorless as the housings are less bulky and the overall rig is usually much cheaper.
that and if your skimping on housing its probably not a good idea to put your dslr in it if its your regular camera as well.
You can find sony or olympus mirrorless cameras + housing set ups for around 500 or 600, and if you looked for a decent strobe you'd have a really solid setup for under a grand.
>>2890157
I think any light would do but the filters are also a good option as they are usually pretty cheap.
I've seen some people use gray cards too or you can cheat and just put the tint slider in lightroom(idk about photoshop) way in the red.
not mine but probably my favorite uw photo
