Okay, so I'm fairly new to photography and I'd like to start editing my photos with some more professional software. Lightroom seems like a good option, but I'm a bit confused about the differences between 5, 6, CC, whatever. My camera is a GR II, would it only work with 6 or CC according to the website?
What do you suggest I do as a beginner with editing? Is the 9.99 a month CC the way to go, or just getting a standard version of it that I pay for all at once?

Just pirate it.
Also, Photosincolor on YouTube does great Lightroom tutorials, check them out.

the GR will work with whatever version of lightroom you want to use since it uses the universal RAW format. I use CC currently since my University pays for it but I have previously used 5 and 6 with my GR with no issues. If you think you'll do more serious editing it's worth getting Photoshop too.
Pirate them both I say!

Also Google NIK

As everyone else said, just pirate it, but I also suggest you try out Capture One. It has a slightly higher initial learning curve, and it's not an all-one-one package like Lightrooom, but tends to produce superior results, is faster once you do learn it, and is less of a resource hog.

Download lightroom trial through cc app. Patch it with snr-patch-painter. Turn off cc running in the background. Open it. You're done.
