Not sure if it's a feature in the vanilla extension, but 4chanX even has the whole list of boards right at the top.

The front page is a nice thing to keep around though. It's like Ellis Island for 4chan.

The front page is how I enter 4chan initially, because that's what's bookmarked, and I have muscle memory that automatically causes me to reach for my bookmark menu.
From the front page, I can go to multiple boards depending on my mood, and what's going on. I've even found myself clicking on the popular threads to boards I normally wouldn't go to.
Once I'm in, I use the list in 4chanX's header to hop around from board to board.
