If you don't want to get a new one then you could try to buy a replacement LCD, but I don't know if you'll be able to find one. If you do then it should actually be reasonably simple to replace if you have a screwdriver and aren't totally inept with your hands. There's lots of instructions online for how to disassemble the GR in order to clean the D U S T and part of that disassembly involves removing the screen.

Here's my own minor GR gore. I dropped it onto concrete a couple of years ago, it's still going strong.

Yeah apparently according to dpreview [1] they use the same LCD as GRD IV, so I ordered one for about 40 pounds from a Russian website[2] recommended by those guys. Crossing my finger it'll work
