"Smallest" and "largest" are not the same thing. In fact, they are opposites. Even the numbers aren't "smaller" because as you know, aperture is a fraction. f/2 is f 1/2 (the diameter of the pupil is 1/2 the focal length)

Therefore f/2 is larger in all respects than f/8

It's not tricky at all. I took this photo last Saturday without even knowing this was a thing.

You don't just walk up to a stranger and say "Can I take your photo for a *mumble mumble*" while looking at the floor, you in stead take an interest in another human being. What I meant by tricky is that being the weekend, there's a lot less to pick from the overall workforce, you're "reduced" to sales people and important public services. I don't have a copy floating around, but mine was originally geared more towards technique and conceptual stuff, rather than "TAKE A PICTURE OF THIS" (though there were many options just like that).
