I actually really enjoy this, but the processing is shit. It's incredibly dull and lifeless, and not in a good way. I would have made the black and white points stronger and added a touch more contrast.

Mountains in Norway. That mountain is opposite the ski slopes and the logo for a nearby ski resort or the township or some such.
Woke up at 3 am to have a pee and I figured I'd take a nightshot while I was at it because the illuminated mountainside looked interesting and I like the look of the various cabins and lights on the nighttime snow.
How I took it is mostly in the exif but more specifically I propped the camera up on a windowsill using a t-shirt.

Yeah, so you fix it in post. You don't just leave your friend looking like that. There is shit you would never notice in person having a conversation with her, because you're focusing on expression, communication, the environment, etc. But in a photo, you notice a lot of extra stuff. Small pimples, hairs, bad makeup, etc, and because the scrutiny is so much more intense for a photo, you clean that shit up.
Saying "It looked unflattering on the scene so I just left it" is a cop out. Unless the idea of the photo is to make her look bad.

I like it. It tells a story. Could be a grandpa with his granddaughter or just an old, lonely guy forcing a conversation with a kind neighbour.
Showing his face instead of hers makes you wonder about his feelings and what the young woman's expression must be like at that moment.
Taking it from a far distance and with all that blurred stuff in the foreground, including the lower corner, gives me the feeling of a busy city, and this picture is freezing a relaxed instant in all that mess of people running and driving in a rush.
Some will say it's a bad shot because you're far away, stuff in the frame is distracting, perspective blahblahblah. I think it's a solid keeper and you should be proud of it. It catches my eye so much and is a perfect example that following rules strictly only makes your stuff look boring for being just like the rest.
