I realized he's a complete fucking tool when he spent an entire review of the Sigma 210101 18-35mm F1.8 DC HSM saying essentially "nobody uses those focal lengths, buy a 70-200mm or a slow kit zoom"

With crop it's equivalent to 27mm-52.5mm.
It's like several short amazing prime lens in one, super fast and most people showing it as sharp as fuck. Even came with a lens hood unlike half of my canon stuff and only $799.

I don't remember where to find his shots, but I remember thinking that it was mostly just meh, like the billion and one other people out there with cameras who at least know the basics of composition and how to operate the camera.

Honestly, the review isn't nearly as bad as you make it out to be. However, this lens isn't meant for photographing your friend in broad daylight, or even for street photography. It's mean for lowlight situations, such as concert photography on a crop sensor camera. That's where he fucks up.
